Airplane
Graz has a local airport (GRZ), which is 15 minutes away from the Graz Hauptbahnhof, and about 30 minutes away from the University of Graz. The local trains are leaving every half hour.
Direct flights from Graz are going to Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt (regularly, about twice a day), Zürich (arriv. Mo, 10:05; dep. Fr, 19:55, Sat. 10:10), Düsseldorf (arriv. Su, 12:55, Mo, 7:45; dep. Fr., 16:05, Su, 9:15), Berlin (arriv. Su, 23:00 and Mo, 16:20; dep. Fr., 19:15, Su., 23:00) , and Hamburg (arriv. Su, 19:55, Mo, 12:40; dep. Fr., 12:40, Su, 20:40).
Another, good alternative is to fly to Vienna and to take the train to Graz Hbf, which takes 3.5 hours and is going every hour.
Train
There are daily nightjets going from Berlin and Zürich to Graz.
Trains from Vienna are once an hour, and from Munich it takes about five to six hours to go to Graz (via Klagenfurt or Vienna).
